We’re Hiring: Head of Department (HOD) – Qiraat

Source Code Academia is seeking an experienced and qualified Head of Department (HOD) – Qiraat to lead and manage our Qiraat Department.

This leadership role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in Qiraat, Tajweed, Islamic education, curriculum development, teacher training, and academic management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Qiraat Department.
• Train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate Qiraat teachers.
• Develop, review, and improve Qiraat curricula and learning materials.
• Ensure excellence and consistency in Tajweed and Qiraat instruction.
• Monitor teacher performance, student progress, and academic outcomes.
• Conduct academic evaluations and quality assurance reviews.
• Prepare departmental reports, KPIs, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with the media team on educational content, course introductions, and instructional materials.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance departmental performance.
• Maintain high academic and professional standards across the department.

Qualifications and Experience

• Male candidates only, as per the operational requirements of the role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Recognized certification in Qiraat and Tajweed.
• Minimum four years of teaching experience in Qiraat or Tajweed.
• Minimum two years of academic leadership or management experience.
• Strong command of different Qiraat and Tajweed methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and team-management skills.
• Experience with online learning platforms will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules according to departmental needs.

Additional Role Requirements

• Candidates must be comfortable conducting all online classes with their cameras turned on to maintain a professional and engaging learning environment.
• The selected candidate will be required to participate in professional educational video content, including course introductions, promotional materials, and instructional recordings.
• A high-quality professional profile photograph will be required for publication on the Source Code Academia website and other official platforms.
