Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Arabic Department to lead our Arabic language program and ensure high standards of teaching, curriculum development, and student achievement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of Arabic language and literature, and experience managing an academic department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Arabic Department and teaching team.
• Develop, review, and implement Arabic curriculum in line with academic standards.
• Monitor teaching quality, lesson planning, assessments, and student progress.
• Mentor, support, and evaluate Arabic teachers.
• Develop effective teaching strategies to improve student outcomes.
• Coordinate examinations, assessments, and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate academic records and departmental documentation.
• Organize Arabic language and cultural activities for students.
• Collaborate with school leadership and other departments.
• Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders when required.
• Ensure the department follows school policies, procedures, and educational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Arabic, Arabic Literature or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Arabic, preferably with leadership or departmental management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Arabic grammar, literature, language instruction, and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor and motivate teaching staff.
• Strong command of Arabic and English.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural educational environment is an advantage.
