Intellectual Warfare in Chanakya Niti
Chanakya who was dethrone King Dhana Nanda and end the Nanda dynasty. One day when Chanakaya visited court of King Dhana Nanda, Chanakya was brilliant but blunt, and his appearance did not please the king. Dhana insulted him publicly, mocking his looks and dismissing his wisdom.
Humiliated, Chanakya walked out of the court, but before leaving, he made a vow, “I will not tie this tuft of hair back until I uproot your dynasty.”
Chanakaya was roaming the kingdom and searching someone capable of overthrown the might Nanda rule. Eventually he discovered the young Chandragupt Maurya, whom he mentored, trained and guided, with careful planning, diplomacy and strategy, Chanakya built alliance and weekend the Nadas’ hold.
Later year, Chandragupta Maurya defeated the Nanda dynasty and established the Mauryan Empire. Only then did Chanakya tie back his hair, fulfilling the vow he had made in his moment of humiliation.

For Chanakya, true victory lay in achieving one’s goal with the least damage, and that required intellectual dominance.
