I saw a confused child. I looked into her eyes, and there I saw a strange picture.
The child is holding the hands of both her parents. The father is happy, wearing VR glasses. The mother is contented without them but a little worried.
The child wants to play with her father, but he is always busy looking through those lenses. He can’t see her. When she shouts loudly, the father gives her the gadget too.
Whenever she wears them, she becomes fascinated by the fairy dresses, the sparkling shoes, the chocolates, the toys, and a lot of new gadgets. Then she cannot feel her parents around and she doesn’t feel the need to have them. Rather she wants more of everything she sees through them.
Every time the father gives her the glasses, the mother tries to remove them. She whispers in the child's ears, "“The things you see behind those lenses will vanish soon.”
Sometimes she obeys her mother and looks around. Her mother points to other children and families enchanted by the same illusion.
The child observes the contrast between the people with and without those glasses. The people act strangely. They look pale, tired, and restless.
Those who see with real eyes appear calm, with a gentle shine and sweet smile.
Then she looks again at her parents, at herself, at the world blurred by illusion. Slowly, she throws them off.
Her small hands tremble as she takes them off. The glow fades, and she sees her mother’s eyes tired, but peaceful.
Now she realizes the difference between the illusion and the truth. She steps closer to her parents, where love feels real and the world, do not glow.
