The Realization

I happened to experience different versions of virtual reality at different places. They were designed to be scary and horrible, but they had no effect on me. I was not afraid at all, because I knew it was only a computerized creation.

At first, I thought I was a boring person who couldn’t enjoy fun things or maybe a conscious one. Most of the time in my dreams, I can change situations according to my liking. My heart never gets too happy about worldly things, nor too sad when losing them , even people. Somehow, I remain content most of the time.

I always thought I was an alien in my family. But one day, after attending a lecture on VR glasses in an emotional intelligence class, I came to know the reason.

Surah No. 57, Ayah No. 20 states:

“Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children. And what is worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.”

Allah has already told us that this worldly life is just an illusion. Most of us blindly follow worldly desires and feel deprived when losing anything or anyone. After finding the reason, I consciously limit my desires and try to stick to my needs only.

May Allah bestow upon us the lens of reality.
