Intelligence is the ability to make and use tools effectively. Pakistan has proven this again and again. From secretly building the nuclear bomb to navigating the Indo-Pak wars, from countering the Taliban to shaping strategies after 9/11, Pakistan has always shown intelligence under pressure. Even on May 9, when Pakistan stood firm against India, it displayed the effective use of Chinese tools against the French tools used by India.

Military strength is like a muscle. The more it remains in action, the stronger it becomes. America, Israel, and Pakistan are three nations that have lived in constant war, and each has developed those muscles far stronger than the rest. Since 1947, Pakistan’s army and intelligence services have never been allowed to rest. Constant pressure has kept them battle-ready. People and nations grow strong when survival is at stake and when they live on the edge.

Before Pakistan’s nuclear missile tests, ISI had already informed India that we knew of their joint plan with Israel to bomb our nuclear sites, and that we were fully prepared. This shows Pakistan’s intelligence does not only anticipate first-order adversaries but also second- and third-order threats.

This is why Pakistan’s ISI is the perfect fit for a Saudi–Pakistan defense pact against Israel. Intelligence is the first shield of survival, the protection that comes before any bullet is fired. Pakistan has even provided Iran with intelligence during its recent conflict with Israel to protect its leaders and assets. The same shield will now be vital for Saudi Arabia. History shows that Israel and America strike leaders first, so safeguarding MBS and the Saudi royal family will require round-the-clock vigilance.

The pact will also expand ISI’s role. Just as India has been monitored for decades, Israel’s moves must now be watched with equal focus. This is no longer a choice but a necessity. Saudi wealth will serve as the catalyst, funding technology, networks, and systems for modern intelligence.

Finally, this expansion will open a new horizon for Pakistan’s youth. Intelligence today is not limited to spies in the field. It needs cyber experts, data analysts, surveillance officers, and language specialists. In the coming decade, thousands of jobs will open in surveillance and intelligence. For young Pakistanis, it will be more than a career. It will be both an opportunity and a duty to serve their nation.
