Blurry Images of Purpose
If I asked you to write a clear, crisp statement about your purpose, most of us would be unable to answer. Even with clear thinking, we often have only abstract thoughts and blurry pictures of purpose in our minds.
Why do we face uncertainty in our purpose?
One reason could be that we have no purpose at all. Certainly not — because we are all trying to achieve something and are playing the game of survival in our lives anyway. We tend to follow herd psychology; we mimic the people around us. We strive to achieve what others are achieving. In other words, we are people-oriented.
The second reason could be that our definitions of beliefs are corrupted. Our beliefs are wrong, and we are not trained to correct ourselves through right beliefs or to learn new and accurate concepts. This is why we fail to set clear and meaningful goals in our lives. Instead, we spend our days casually, becoming an unbearable burden to the world.
In conclusion, developing clarity in our definitions of beliefs, being ready to correct our concepts, and thinking critically about ourselves are the keys to discovering our purpose. By doing so, we can set new and greater goals — and through these right and larger purposes, we can serve the world meaningfully.
