“Pick up your trash” a simple yet powerful way to make a child own his responsibility.
Teaching ownership from the earliest days can begin with small actions like making your bed, picking up your toys, and putting things back where they belong. When a child is taught to do chores, he’s not just completing tasks, he’s building a sense of responsibility and ownership within his personality. When a mother encourages her child to help around the house, he begins to develop empathy. Soon, he not only takes care of his own little duties but also starts doing things for others. When he steps outside and sees someone struggling to carry a bag at the grocery store, he naturally offers a helping hand and that’s how he develops courage.
Ownership, empathy, courage, the three stages that are crucial in building a child’s personality so he can grow up to be an asset to society. The traits that will guide him in choosing between right and wrong, in standing firm when it’s easier to follow a herd , and giving when the world teaches him to take. A child who learns these values early doesn’t just grow into a good adult , he grows into a human being who can shape future generations.
