Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a pact on 17 September 2025 called the “Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement” (SMDA). This agreement states that any act of aggression against one country shall be considered aggression against both. The aim is to protect both countries from external attacks. This kind of enhanced security also creates opportunities in the economic and education sectors for the citizens. NATO also shows that this kind of agreement has benefits beyond defense.
