Donald Trump’s new 20-Point Plan for Gaza poses as a blueprint for peace but is a script meant to manipulate. Manipulate who? Perhaps the ‘naive’ still in the dark audience. The continuation of the Abraham Accords logic repackaged in humanitarian prose which touts “reconstruction” and “security reform,” yet nowhere acknowledges Israel’s disproportionate assaults or the occupation that caused Gaza’s ruin (Brookings, 2025) in the first place much less hold it accountable for the devastation.
Framed as “post-war management,” it outsources governance to regional actors while preserving Israeli command, which is the familiar colonial choreography of rebuilding the victim while rewarding the violator (Carnegie, 2025). Even the ICJ and UN appear as spectators, issuing resolutions with no implementation (OHCHR, 2024).
By invoking Arab cooperation, the plan seeks to revive normalization damaged by Israel’s recent excesses (Al Jazeera, 2025). Its underlying message of peace without justice, aid without autonomy is clear. Beneath twenty talking points lies one moral truth of dependency masquerading as sovereignty. This is a policy that stabilizes control rather than restores freedom (Guardian, 2025).
The proceeding of this plan will not mark Gaza’s recovery but its rebranding A new definition of peace is in the making for the convenience of the west and its puppeteer Israel. The World does not need another framework or policy, it needs to dismantle the frameworks that are keeping injustice intact.
