Companionship is a true emotion, and it plays the most important role in our relationships. It can make or break our relationships. We need to know the construction of companionship in order to harness it.
The biggest pillar of companionship is grit. Whether you feel sleepy, are busy with some work, or are ill or suffering, when a person is in need and only you can fulfill that need, then you need to break this jail around you and be there for him/her and fulfill his/her need.
Another important pillar of companionship is accessibility. People should be able to reach you. They should feel delight and ease when interacting with you, and they should not be scared when talking to you. You should make sense while talking to them so they can understand you.
In order to be a good companion, you have to make yourself uncomfortable whether you are willing or not. That’s the minimum criterion to become a companion to someone. You need to be there the way your partner wants you to be, not the way you wish to be. Only an empathetic person who is ready to sacrifice his/her comfort can practice this.
