The Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) between Pakistan and KSA has a great potential to play an important role in shifting global power dynamics towards the muslim world. For decades, muslim nations have lacked a unified front in matters of defense and credibility. This pact opens a valuable opportunity for Muslims to show their strength, unity, and reliability on the world stage.
The benefits will not remain only in the hands of political or military leaders. Ordinary Pakistanis will also feel the change. When a credible person in Pakistan speaks, writes, or shares an idea, it will begin to gain global attention. The intellectual voice of Pakistan will carry greater weight than before.
Economically, the pact can transform all member states. Saudi oil wealth, Pakistan’s nuclearpower, and resources of future allies can fuel trade, energy, and industrial growth. Much like NATO strengthened Western nations collectively, this alliance could create a powerful muslim economic and defense bloc—self-reliant and globally respected.
