Anger is a very powerful emotion, and if we express it in the right way it can change the current state of the world for the better. I always wonder “why do we try to suppress our anger, why not understand, express and channelise it?”
To achieve this task the first step is to acknowledge your feelings and accept that you are angry, and it is normal. Tell yourself, “I am really angry right now.” After acknowledging your anger, you can begin to properly express how you feel, and why you feel that way.
The second step is to ask yourself, “what is making me so angry?” Try to identify the reason. With this pause your logical brain can “take over” and you will be in a fully conscious state of mind, unclouded by anger.
The prophet (Sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) advised to sit down and lay down when one is angry while sitting and laying down decreases activity in neurons so the parasympathetic nervous system takes over (the science of emotions ).
In conclusion the strategy to pause ,think and react without blaming will make the other person think and they would be willing to work towards the solution.
